I don't have Tuberculosis!!!
heh heh... well, not really a real triumph.. I mean, why WOULD I have it? The bigger thing here is... why am I even bringing it up? Easy... cause it was part of my prerequistes for going to Japan. So yeah... hooray for that.
- grandmother's funeral went alright. I got to see a lot of cousins and uncles I haven't seen in ages. It's kinda sad really, I used to see my aunts, uncles and cousins nearly on a weekly basis... now I see them maybe once every 3 or 4 years on holidays. I should have collected email address... argh.
- speaking of family, word of my going to Japan spread pretty quickly and my grandmother's brother's daughter came up to me and said how big of a fan her 13 year-old daughter was of Japan and anime. In fact, she was even at Anime Boston 2008... haha, I should ask her how long she was in line for. She's a Narutard... I need to cure her of that quickly!! We've been emailing back-and-forth every day all week.
- saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with Shawn... it was okay... I enjoyed it and recommend it, but also should tell people not to expect supreme awsumness. Unfortunately didn't have much time to make with the chit-chat with Shawn afterwards as it was a late screening. Maybe next time.
- Naoko, Asuka, and Saki are in New York City this week, so no SFC tutoring this week. Other SFC culture plans are underway, including karaoke, 4th of July Parade & Fireworks, and making lasagne.
- I've been away from work all week because of the bereavement leave. I'm working tonight and then I get my regular 2 days off. The fire department bought a new Tower Ladder... I hope to have photos of it soon.
- The set for the new Bruce Willis being shot in my neighborhood is getting busy. I snapped this photo the other day:
