Yes, we had an earthquake ^^ Ok, it was on...Wednesday morning? A lot earlier on in the week anyway. It was brilliant XD I've never been in an earthquake before and it was really weird. It was about 1 in the morning and I was only half asleep as it was (having only gone to bed about 20 mins before) when I felt this shaking. I immediately thought someone was shaking my bed trying to wake me up, so I wasn't particularly impressed, I don't like being woken up ^^ Then it slowly dawned on me that actually the whole house was shaking, not just my bed. I considered it for a minute before deciding it must be the wind, it has been massively windy recently. It did briefly cross my mind that the house might fall down, it's never shaken before, but I mostly thought it in a "I hope it doesn't, I might have to move and I'm quite comfortable as I am" rather than a "Noooo, we're going to die" sort of way. Because sleep actually is the most important thing in my life XD Anyway, after it stopped I stayed awake for a bit, wondering if it would happen again, as I still thought it was the wind. It was about half an hour later that it occurred to me that I couldn't hear any wind at all. So I thought a bit. Eventually it dawned on me it was an earthquake. So, feeling satisfied, I fell asleep and forgot the whole thing ever happened XD Turned out my mum and sister slept through the whole thing, my mum feels disappointed actually and keeps asking why I didn't get up to go ask her what had happened ^^ I think she secretly wishes I'd panicked just so she could have experienced the earthquake too! The epicentre of it was only about 40 miles from where we live, it was so close ^^ Luckily it wasn't like a massive earthquake, although it's unlikely we're ever going to get a really big one, I think there was only one injury and that was a guy who's chimney fell on him. Imagine waking up to that, you're happily sleeping and suddenly the world starts moving then your chimney lands on you! I find it quite amusing, although I do feel sorry for the guy.
Anyway, that made my day. I spent the whole of Wednesday feeling slightly smug.
I had another uni trip on Monday (because I'm working backwards through the week ^^) I went to Leeds to check out their Medical Sciences department. I'm definitely off there if I get the grades, because it's between there and Hull and since I live near Hull I don't particularly want to go there. And Hull's a dump. Leeds isn't that great looking either, but Hull's actually a dump. I quite enjoyed my day off school, one of the first things that happened was that we got on a free bus from the train station and some guy got on and the bus driver tried to kick him off because he was banned. So there was a bit of argument between both, luckily the guy didn't do much, just insult the driver and refuse to get off, so the driver just gave up and said he'd get a policeman to get rid of him. So that was my mini-drama of the day. Then my day was made by buying a massive sandwich for £1.50. It was so cheap and massive ^^ It had chicken in as well. Then it turned out we got free meal vouchers too, so I was happy ^^ Not much else happened, got to look round some labs, see a few places in Leeds, talk about formaldehyde making you want to eat dead people (I might have mentioned that before, we were told that at Hull too!) climb a million steps, go home, sleep for hours.
Lin had her 18th party on Friday (getting closer to the true date) it was Hawaiian style. ¬.¬ She just had to be awkward. It was the last day of February. It was raining. It was windy. I was wearing shorts. I was not impressed XD But that's just because I had to walk down the village and I stood in a million puddles. And my umbrella broke TT.TT It was a great umbrella, it had cats on XD Her party was quite fun though. I'm thinking maybe I should learn to dance, I never do and spend most of the night sat down mocking the dancing people XD Which is amusing, but I still get the impression that I might be missing out on something. But I feel embarrassed when I get up to dance, so it's easier not to ^^ I almost kicked over a table...not whilst dancing or anything, I just remembered so thought I'd mention it. It's Sarah's fault anyway, she elbowed me and I tried to get her back but I'm all weak compared to her and forgot my foot was on the table leg and I sort of pushed it and it massively tilted right up. Nothing fell off, surprisingly, though it came damn close. I moved my foot away pretty quickly...XD And the buffet was awesome ^^ I slightly piled my plate up. And mistook some mushrooms for scotch eggs...I do not like mushrooms. Not even slightly. I came so close to throwing up, it's unbelievable, I'm quite impressed I managed to get it down actually XD I didn't eat the other one...
I've recently, about 2 days ago, discovered P'unk~en~Ciel. And fallen in love with them ^^ I've loved L'arc~en~Ciel for ages now and knew about P'unk, but never got round to listening to them. Anyway, I finally ended up watching a video on youtube, and fell in love! It's not surprising really, given that P'unk is just L'arc rotated slightly, but Hyde's voice is just such a big part of the awesome that is L'arc that I wasn't sure how good P'unk would be, with Tetsu singing instead. My fears were unfounded, I love the way they cover their own songs, they sound different but are still love ^^ And in one of the live versions of Milky Way Tetsu forgot the words and just started singing "lalala" and he pulled it off too! It sounded like it was meant to be there, it joined in so seamlessly XD
Check out this awesome Ouran amv, it made my day yesterday, just for the very end bit, it made me lol XD I laugh quite a lot, but this is quite amusing. It's just the Pinky and the Brain theme with clips of Kyouya and Tamaki. How much does Kyouya look like a psycopath in this?!

Anyway, school tomorrow...like I can be bothered ^^ I miss my weekends TT.TT But I have next Saturday off work as my parents are off to Leicester for some reason or other. Work was so busy today it was unbelievable, everybody went "Ooh, it's Mothers' Day, let's go to a garden centre!" Ok, I work in the coffee shop, but still... Loads of orders were messed up, it's awful being given something and it's not for the table you take it to ^^ And people always look angry when you ask them if it's theirs, you'd think they'd be amused by it, but no. They give you dirty looks of disgust for speaking to them! There was one couple in though who were really polite and everything, the guy couldn't carry things and the woman was in a wheelchair, and they were so sweet and hated bothering people, I felt so bad not being able to help them properly, they'd asked if they could get some rhubarb crumble and all I could do was tell them they'd have to join the massive queue and order it because I can't take orders, just being on dishwasher, and they were so understanding, apologising for taking my time. I'm not sure if they ever got any, but I hope they did, a lot of people are really rude when they ask questions. I was clearing tables most of the day, there were loads that needed doing, I hate doing tables, I prefer putting stuff away after it comes out of dishwasher ^^ So I passed most of the time humming quietly to myself and having little conversations on my own, to take my mind off things. I got a few funny looks, some people must have thought I was a bit weird XD
