UPDATE:   Citizen of the Empire

The naturalization ritual was scheduled on March 17th, noon, at the Federal Courts in the Loop (Chicago).  It took almost 45 minutes to process us in.  We were ushered in and packed into a court room.    At 1:05 PM, the judge came in.  He gave a short spiel about the virtues of citizenship, voting, etc.  Then we stood ( Read more... )
