Yesterday was a rather frustrating day at work. Nothing major, just constant little interruptions every few minutes which made it very difficult to get much done for the first half of the day. Last night, Brett and I went out for Mexican and I had a big margarita for with dinner. That helped a lot. :)
We were both pretty wiped out, so we spent the evening snuggling and watching
Tokyo Godfathers. Great film, lots of subtleties in the background animation, and the voice acting (Japanese, with English subs) was great. Really seemed like a spin on
3 Godfathers, but a good spin. The characters were likeable and the stories were nicely spun together, with a great surprise at the end. It was kind of a sad, tragic story, but we're not talking anywhere near
Grave of the Fireflies level of sadness.
Tonight, I need to clean up the grill and fire it up for the first time this season; tomorrow night the gang is coming over for dinner and board games. Brett and I have been enjoying
Agricola. (ag-RICK-oh-la, not Agri-Cola, like some kind of soft drink!) We've also been getting into
Small World, which the super-shiny
patternscribe introduced us to. I got a few expansions for that, and want to get the rest. Very fun, nicely-paced conquest game.
That's it for now! /^|..|^\
