Fun times last night. We farmed for 90 minutes in
Abyssea, getting lots of XP and cruor. We also killed a
Hippogryph NM and got a nice
cape for
fiorenzo_rdm. I finally collected enough cruor to get my
Teal Saio! I immediately put it on and started testing. Surprisingly, I saw a slight increase in my nukes, testing on TW mobs. I guess MAcc+4 MAB+4 and INT+6 are enough to overcome MAB+6 and Elemental Skill+5. Later, we re-grouped and partied for XP on
spiders in
Sacrarium, but that fizzled out fast. With no WHM for Esuna, the spider's Slow was really messing us up, and we were running out of MP (and out of spiders) quickly. We headed to
Promy-Holla to finish on the new
Wanderers. Quickly made our way up to the 4th floor, but the mobs didn't really get any tougher. Ah well. We synced to
watermei's MNK77 and started in. The XP wasn't awful, about 8-10k/hr, but it certainly wasn't the insane 20-30k from
lolibri. But I guess we have to get used to it, in exchange for non-squishy mobs, we get tougher mobs good for skillups that are
BLM-friendly. I was having fun, and by the time we wrapped up for the night, I was more than halfway to lv79. One and a half levels to go and I'll be at the new level cap, 80. Then I can work on skilling up all my magic and combat skills to get them re-capped, and then start building
merits to round out my skills. At least, once I get BLM to 80 and full XP buffer (another level cap increase is coming soon, I want to be ready) I can start working on my
WHM again, and get it to 80. But BLM first. Support jobs like WHM can stand to be a few levels down; a cure is a cure and it doesn't matter so much if your skills are at 100% cutting edge. But for linkshell events, I'll always prefer to go BLM and bring the pain. :D
But the main point is AHMAGAHD purple gear and I'm so cute! (^_^)d
