""Our global ecosystem is evidence we don't need government to protect and preserve life. Nature gets along just fine on its own - and how much more intelligent are humans than other species? The fact our enviroment has remained intact all this time is proof anarchism works. Besides, government is just people with titles. Take away the titles and you still have people."
By the way, I still support and will vote for Ron Paul, I just think anarchy is a viable option. Anarchy has to work: otherwise that's the equivalent of saying without government all of humanity would kill itself. To me that's utterly preposterous. Humans may die off at some point, but it's not going to be from a lack of government. You may say the opposite is what we see."

Hah. Yea, that's so true and so many people don't seem to see it. Everybody thinks that we're so different (and "better") than other animals but I wholly disagree.
Although, primates and other animals that live in groups do have some culture, society and somebody more or less in charge of things. Mostly for mating purposes and for protecting the pack. This, really, is more reason we're all the same. There's still no typical government but there's somebody that makes sure they eat plenty of food. lol However, this also shows that without gov't, things aren't total chaos with everybody just killing everything and taking it for themselves. At least the species that live in groups.
I'm pretty sure out in the middle of nowhere (by our standards) there are tribes of humans without a typical government that probably have somebody in charge. While this isn't exactly regular anarchy as many people think of it with being nobody in charge of anything with people running rampant through the streets doing as they please essentially there are still no actual laws, if anything, just customs which aren't exactly the same thing.
There are several types of anarchy from anarcho-communism to anarcho-capitalism. So, it's not as if nobody has put any thought into having a functional society without government, it's totally possible. Sadly though, with how conditioned people are into thinking material possessions are important and that they have to live "the american dream" and depend on lawmakers, leaders and the current economy it will not be easy to adapt to anything else. I think there are too many walking zombies and too many very religious people that are making things difficult. I may be getting off-topic here and approaching the comment limit.
Have you heard of The Venus Project? I think you'd be interested in it.
http://www.thevenusproject.com/They're making a major movie soon so hopefully they can get it into cinemas and wake some people up and get more moving in a different direction before it's too late.
We definitely have to do something soon, this society was built to crumble I think and we're hitting those days. At least many of us, the rich might be doing alright still but their time is coming. We can only take so much from this planet and destroy it so much.
I am really not sure how we'd actually re-build our cities, I don't know if it's possible without them getting destroyed first. Maybe if we add something and then knock down others but if we re-design them with all our current and up-coming technology they will be much more efficient in all aspects. I think we should build upwards and stick closer together
