The Lord revealed an awesome piece of my future to me tonight. Time and time again, God reveals that we should be patient. Patience is a blessing because God is better able to lead and guide us through patience. Jesus gave me an analogy concerning my future wife and it gave me much comfort. When I think about marriage, I now think about wine. You ask me, "Why would you think about wine when you think about your future wife?". The beauty of wine is that it needs preparation and time to develop a better taste. Much like your future husband/wife, God needs time to prepare them for a life spent with you. I now understand why God wants us all to wait and be patient and it is because certain activity should occur before other activity. For example, marriage should occur before sex. A marriage should come before children. God has prepared a perfect path for each and everyone of us and it's important that we are available to hear God and do as God asks. We work on a different time clock than the one God works on. He has no concept of time. It is very important that we all hear from God daily on the direction and path that He wants us to go. You have to trust me when I say that you will have no regrets walking in the path of the Lord. Many of you out there might not know or understand the path that God wants you to be led. Others might know exactly what God wants from them. In both cases, it is important for us not to lose sight of what our futures hold. In the Bible, Jesus tells us that we will be hated because of Him. Jesus is looking for the sold-out, on-fire, passionate souls that thirst and hunger for Him. In the book of revelation, God told John that He will "vomit the lukewarm out of His mouth because they are neither hot nor cold". God cannot stand those who waiver and are full of doubt and I ask you today to place yourself in check and ask yourself where you are. I leave you with one last bit of scripture.
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
-Jeremiah 29:11
The beauty of God is that He doesn't want to see us in the midst of calamity. He understands that we have storms in our life but the awesome part about God is He can take away the hurts. He can give us perfect peace and joy even when the issues seem to bury us in sorrow.
"The sorrow may last for the night, but joy comes with the morning."
God bless you all! I will continue praying for each and everyone of you!
