You should. *hugs* Aww. it's okay, 'niisan. It goes like this, 500 years ago Goku, Konzen, Kenren and Tenpou rebelled against heaven. The latter three got killed (or we assume, since the manga isn't finished yet) and all of Goku's memories were taken away from him and he was locked up in a cave on a mountain for 500 years, alone. He'd been shown having a bird as a friend, but then woke up one day to see it dead outside his cave. He tried so hard to reach for it, crying, but couldn't. He also developed a fear for snow since it covered everything in cold white.

Sanzo (Konzen reincarnated), known as Kouryuu as a child, was abandoned to a river as a baby. Komyou Sanzo, a monk of the highest ranking, found him and took him in and acted like his father. All the monks in the temple hated him. When he was thirteen, Komyou Sanzo named him 'Sanzo' and then was killed right in front of him by thieves. They left with one of the two holy scriptures Sanzo was supposed to inherit and he travelled aimlessly for three years trying to get it back,

In my opinion, I think Hakkai is probably the most fucked up. Reason why is despite all of the shit he'd been through in his life, he still smiles (though most seem to be fake) and carries on almost as if life is perfect (except when his past comes back to haunt him).

I would've counted Goku for that as well, but despite being stuck in the mountain for 500 years, he can't remember anything before that very clearly...

Actually, I'd consider Sanzo to be the one to give Hakkai a run for his money. But I suppose you're right.^^

But what I meant though was "Which Saiyuki boy's life is the saddest?" But the word 'sad' just didn't seem to cut it, a-ha-ha.
