Merry Christmas, everyone!
Just yesterday, I learned that my little sister knows nothing about the X-Men, other than what was portrayed in maybe the first movie or two. She has no idea who Gambit is! No idea!
She must have been too young to remember Saturday morning cartoons. (She's 19 now. Wait, when did that happen?)
It's unfortunate that kids her age missed out on 80s and 90s cartoons because villains now are nothing like villains back then. The bad guys weren't messing around. Now you've got Magneto in the X-Men movies being portrayed like a wimpy old man... okay, not so wimpy, but Ian McKellan just isn't scary like Magneto in the cartoons.
"So Becky, how have you been spending your break?"
Oh, you know, just streaming episodes of the original X-Men cartoon on marvel.com... all day, every day.
