I think somewhere in the back of my mind I knew it was coming. 21,500 more troops, one year deployments for Marines. I was hoping it wouldn't happen because they'd been there so long already but, then, so has everyone else. So Jaime's deployment has been extended until June. He doesn't know yet how long exactly but at least 2 months. I could just feel my heart sink when he told me. That was his bad news, the good was that he's still in one piece, the worse was that his PS 2 got fried by the different electricity they have there. When he said there was worse news I couldn't imagine what it could be than an extension but I laughed when he said that. I guess it was a good time for him to get a new book finally.
Still, god that's a long time. Apparently several guys who had the phone before him got broken up with and one guy's wife is thinking of leaving him. Guess it's a good thing there's not anyone around here I want to date. I told him he didn't have to worry cause there's not really many cute boys around here even after he said he would understand.
