Oh, the irony. Just when I finish writing about how lovely it will be to rest, the bathroom splodes. Although, it is partly our own fault because when we fix thing we do it right and would rather get it all done rather than half done... and if I hadn't of been in such a tizzy over the mold growing UNDER the caulking I was replacing we wouldn't have removed the broken shower walls quite yet. But, at the same time, we had been ignoring the dry rot issue for far to long (heavy plastic duct taped over the window for 2 years is a little much) and mold under the caulking really is freaky.
2k spent on replacing window, shower walls, termite eaten sink, termite eaten wall studs, sheet rock, paint and a new floor ain't to shabby. We survived 7 days sans toilet and 10 days sans shower (thanks to mom and dad living up the hill). But now I am to tired to be excited about it. Sure, it looks nice, but sheesh! Can we please relax now?!?
Soccer is also done for the season! It was rather pathetic how elated we were about that simple fact on Saturday after the last games.
