Ok, so I know this will look just like the last several posts, but seriously, this isn't just some story I'm making up.
Today, on my way home from work, I saw someone stumbling down the sidewalk. Figuring they must just be drunk or something, I kept going, that is until I heard the screams. Turning back, the man had just sunk his teeth into some lady's throat, rending the flesh and spraying blood everywhere. I instantly knew what was happening: zombies. My time had finally come.
I broke into a sprint down the sidewalk to return back to my apartment, leaving the screaming bystanders behind. Luckily, I caught the light and kept running. I had to dodge a few, but thankfully they were the more plodding variety. That should make life more interesting. I busted into the apartment and barricaded the front hall to give me time to grab some gear.
I figure that I'll be safe with my swords and crossbow for the time being. I'd like to hit downtown for a gun pl....
Something was rapping on my window, trying to get in. Apparently, this virus or whatever isn't limited to just humans. The neighbor lady's cat, fur gnarled and matted was hissing at me through malevolent eyes. It took one of my crossbow bolts punching through the screen and the demon cat's head, but the bitch is down. However, that means that I don't have much time. The others will have sensed that. I only wish that I knew what happened to Fire and Flanowa. I left them both here when I went to work...
But that doesn't matter now. All that matters is survival. My plan is to dash back up the street to my place of employment: Bioscience Tower 3. Just the chemicals sitting around the lab should make quite the welcoming party for any flesh-eating freaks that try to enter. From there, I can easily get to other buildings, always staying on the upper floors where there should be only a limited number of zombies. Maybe I'll find some survivors too. My ultimate goal is to somehow alert someone that there is someone still alive, hence this post, and that I will be on the helipad for Presby Hospital. I figure that it's high enough that I should be safe, and with the cafeterias that I have to get through, I should be able to survive for quite some time.
That's it. I hear them coming. I've been waitin' my whole life for this.
See ya at the safe zone.
