Well, my grandma is back in the hospital, the real hospital I mean. Not
the rehab place. Apparently they were giving her too much potassium.
Enough that it would have killed if a doctor hadn't come and done some
tests.
::sighs::
Its funny, my mom went and say her today and though she might have been
able to come home because she was back to her old self (or near there).
We were both excited, thinking we wouldn't have to put her into a
skilled-level home.
And of course my grandma professes to do all the right things when she
comes out. Yeah, right. "I'll walk everyday, and do this and that." I
know my grandma. She takes the easy way out. If she can sit in her
chair, wearing a diaper, watching her soap while she poops she'll be
fine. But those kind of things put her back into the hospital. My
grandma is stubborn but in away that it doesn't do any good for her.
Yes, she wants to go home, I would to but if I knew I was very
susceptible to bladder infections (that turn me into a stroke-like
patient) then I'd be doing something for myself. Not my grandma.
::sigh::
I just pray that maybe something will click and she'd be willing to
help improve her health, instead of me and my mom trying to force her.
