Four drabbles for the prompt 'Fire' at open_on_sunday

Title: Torch
Character: Giles
Rating: FRT
Setting: S2 of Buffy

He wraps the cloth around the stick, his hands shaking with anger. The gasoline can is nearby and he douses the cloth, making sure not to wet it too much. He wants the fire to burn strong. Without the fire, his plan is nothing. He needs it, just like he needs her to still be alive.

With careful aim, he throws the homemade torch through the window and waits. His mind races, knowing he might die, but he doesn’t care. His life isn’t worth living anymore, not without her.

Angelus is going to pay for taking Jenny away from him.

Title: Warmth
Character: Wesley
Rating: FRAO
Setting: AU, S3 of Buffy

Wesley tries to ignore the burning in his stomach. It’s not uncomfortable, just rather annoying. He shouldn’t feel this way. Another man shouldn’t make him feel as if he’s on fire. But, every time Giles is near him, his body warms and his cheeks flush. The warmth spreads through out his body, and sometimes he can feel his arousal rise with the heat.

His father would kill him if he knew what his son did at night, while imagining it’s Giles’ hand and mouth giving him pleasure. Yet, Wesley can’t deny it. He just hopes someday his need is returned.

Title: Burn
Pairing: Wesley/Lilah
Rating: FRT
Setting: S4 of Angel

Lilah stands and watches, trying hard not to show any emotion as he tries again. She’s already told him he can’t get rid of it, but Wesley never listens. Instead, he holds the contract up and lights the bottom of it, and watches as it burns.

“It’s no use,” she reminds him, her hand motioning toward the file cabinet.

He sighs, puts the paper out, and tries with another one. He’s trying to save her, even after everything she’d done.

And Lilah knows she loves him for it. Even if she can never admit it - in life or death.

Title: Fever
Pairing: Wesley/Fred
Rating: FRT
Setting: AU S5 of Angel

The fever burns and consumes any sane thoughts. She rocks back and forth on the bed. She watches as he flips through his book, grasping at any information he can find.

When there’s a look of revelation on his face, she tries hard not to get her hopes up.

A phone call is place and a deal made. Soon, there’s a knock on the door, followed by a shot that burns like fire. She falls asleep, thinking she’ll never see him again.

But, when morning comes, she’s still alive.

“I’m alive?” Fred questions.

“Very much,” Wesley answers, kissing her forehead.
