Couple Firsts =)
So I haven't updated in a while, and I do have a ton of things to update... so this might be long, I will try and break it up.
Yesterday I went with Matt's father to Binghamton to visit Matt and then go to an Air Show today where the thunderbirds were flying (F-16 air show) and the Firebirds (X0303 Planes). First we went to NLX to pick up Matt and Brady, and then head home before going out to dinner. We went a couple places and picked up some stuff Matt still needed for his apartment before going to dinner at Texas Road House. Which is a great steak house... you get to pick your steak before you sit down from behind a little cooler thing like at the deli. They don't ever freeze anything, so the cuts you see are FRESH! It was the best steak I have ever had in my life!
The next morning I woke up at 7:30am after finally dozing off around 4am but it was worth it. It was my first air show ever, and was awesome! Although Matt and I were stupid and didn't bring sun screen so now I have a terrable sunburn from sitting out in the sun from 9am to 5pm, even my lips hurt =(.
The stunts were great, but I wish there was more military aircraft, because that's all I really care about as a computer engineer who plays video games, I left the flying stuff to the aeros. But I got to talk with the pilot of an A-10 and even Aroosh flew down to hang with us at the show! Which was double bonus, because after the show he flew me back to Syracuse on his way to Potsdam!!! I got to fly for a little bit!!! It was AWESOME! We got to Syracuse in NO TIME! He taught me what most of the instrumentation was, and so now I know! and knowing is half the battle!
Turns out it's affordable to fly a cesna... if you're not picky, it can cost about as much as a car.
I got to see Megan for a few hours, which was nice beacuse I haven't seen her in a long time. Didn't really get a chance to catch up... as I did most of the talking, ugh. But hopefully I'll be able to see her on the 24th for a party. If Aroosh wants to come, he says he might fly again, and then pick me up in Syracuse, HOT!
I don't remember if I wrote about it yet or not, so I'm going to write about it again, just skip if you've read this before. Last weekend I went with Matt to Buffalo to see our friends Jason, Jon and Jaime. We hung out, had some beers, and saw Spiderman 2 (again). I met Jon's girlfriend Stayci who seems really cool and down to earth, but smokes and is 17.
I may have gotten a job at SU, I'll know next week, but it all looks good. They have the money for me, they want to hire me, they have a place for me and ap roject for me to work on. So i guess we'll see this week. That'd be great beacuse my mom and I can both be dropped off at SU, and picked up =) It's not full time, so I'll be leaving an hour or so earlier then my mom, so I plan to go to the gym after work! yay.
They want me to work on their live video streaming of class rooms that are over booked, so people can watch the lecture from the internet. Word.
Um, I guess that's all for now... my sunburn really hurts. =(
