Ok so I cant say how excited I was to see your name and an update to one of your wip's I actually squealed.

Now I'm just nervous about going to re-read this from scratch if its not going to be finished. I always used to check up on your master-list. I'm still half hoping that 'The Boyfriend' may get an ending :) then there is always 'Magic, Marriage and Mayhem' ;)

I think I'm going to risk it and re-read this later today I've been craving good canon fic :)

Thanks for the update and magog_83 for being persistent :D

Don't worry! This will be finished. ^_^ It may take a while - I'm hoping to start my MA in the autumn - but I'm hopefully back on track for this. I'm not going to pretend to be the fastest updater in the world (after three whole years, I don't think I'd have a leg to stand on if I tried :D), but it shouldn't be left as long again, if that's a help.

Ha, magog_83 has a lot to answer for! By which I mean she asked politely and evinced disappointment, and I can't stand disappointment. :S :D

But I'm delighted you were excited to see it! :D

(PS - on the downlow, an update for Magic Marriage and Mayhem is also coming. But you didn't hear it from me! :D)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

I made a little squeaky noise as I scrolled through my flist and spotted this. Then OF COURSE I had to go back and re-read chapter three ~for atmosphere~.

I just love this so much! Thank you so so much for taking the time to write more - it honestly doesn't feel like it's been so long, but that's probably because I have read this in between a few times and it has always stuck so well in my memory after the big twist of chapter one <3

Merlin’s smile was brighter and kinder than Arthur felt he deserved. “Uther chased me out,” he said easily, with the same easy forgiveness that Arthur remembered and had clung onto for so long. “Not you. There’s a lot I’d do for you, Arthur.”MY HEART ( ... )

It's been a while since I've read Merlin fic, but for some crazy reason the title of your story sounded so familiar to me and I remembered your username as an author I had once read, so... it's cool to see you continuing this story, no matter how long it's been! I find it really interesting, how Arthur traveled in disguise and how he finds Merlin at long last. I like this new chapter as well. I can't wait until Merlin finally gets to see Gaius again. I think that will be some reunion! :)

(And I understand how it is when school and other life stuff gets in the way of writing -- I started a story last year for another fandom and I'm STILL writing it in bits and pieces, because I'm so swamped with work and school and homework. I can't wait to be done with school so I have more free time and energy to write and do some of my other hobbies. I miss it! And I WILL finish that story, even if it takes me 3 years. LOL.)

CONGRATULATIONS on finishing your degree!

I'm glad to see you are writing more of this. I really liked the banter and their way of coping with everything that had happened.

What? Where is the Next button?? *looks around frantically*
I freaking love this; this Merlin and emotionally older Arthur are brilliant!
Can't wait for more *bounces*
