Okay, so once again, I haven’t posted in a while, though a month and a little isn’t a very long time. I try to post whenever life is going really good or really crappy and when life takes a certain turn, so it’s time for another post. And, needless to say, life has taken a turn for the better.
November 27th was my last day of employment at Donohoe Farms. I quit there and thankfully left on good terms with everybody; in fact, they gave me a 40 of Crown Royal and two bottles of homemade wine (plus $50) as my parting gift. And the very next day I started on at Wal-Mart. Yes, I broke down and got myself employed full-time at Wal-Mart. The work’s rather enjoyable actually, and I’m really starting to get the hang of things. There’s still a lot I have to learn, but thus far the work isn’t too hard. However, I am working fitting rooms; it’s totally hectic. Friday I ended up suffering from a horrible headache throughout most of my 8.5 hours shift.
But every cloud has a silver lining. I’ll probably only be working there until February, as I got offered a job at Evergreen Farms in Wainwright Alberta. It’s a 500-cow dairy farm and, apparently they pay real well. It’s just a matter of finding an apartment out there and then getting my ass moved. That and I have to get a hold of Lakeland College and see if it would be possible to take entrance exams to get into my courses. And if that works out, I’m accepting the job offer and moving on out! Whoot! I can’t wait! I really hope it all works out.
So yeah, life is sweet. I’m over Derek, my friends are still by my side, and I have a new job and another one lined up for school. ^^ Things couldn’t be better.
