If you are just cooking for yourself, being picky is nothing more than a quirk. When cooking for a family, it's more than that. You of course have a right to feed yourself, but there's a *lot* on your no-go list. You may not want Devin to inherit all your aberrations, and it may be important for kids to be exposed to various foods in a favorable light to let them develop a properly diverse palate. Plus, there's then the life-lessons on nutrition; it's good to eat salads and for kids to get to know them as part of a full meal. There's plenty of anecdotes that kids are plenty big on vegetables until advertising and sweets spoil them. There may just be some foods that will be for her and Dave that you'll mostly sit out on.
I'm not the most experienced on this, but your tastes kinda horrify me. I am hard pressed to remember *any* real meal I've eaten that didn't include one or more things you don't like. There's also the cautionary tale of my brother, who is ridiculous pouty about food. It seems insane to *try* to raise a kid with *more* taste blinders than they'll manufacture on their own. But, not my kid.

*laughs* I know they do... I'm strange. But I don't want her to hate foods just cause I do. :P I want to raise her well rounded. I just might need some help to do it, food wise.
