After the last super big update of DOOM, this one is similar. She just keeps growing by leaps and bounds. She says new words LITERALLY every day. Some new vocab includes: mine, throw, run, hawk which then became milk, go? (as in "let's go" or "where did it go?"), vrom!, monkey (though it's still mostly "oo ah!"), seat/sit, on, out, fly, in, cookie, song, eat, cake, loo-loo (noodles), cook, key, foot, hop (which is either the action or rabbit), song, fry, peese (please), hank you! (thank you), tuk (stuck), reach, boo. She'll say some names now too, but you have to ask her to. She WON'T say Devin, if you ask her to say "Devin" she says "Baby!!" She tries the alphabet, she does say some letters. She was spelling along with Super Why! today!! She kinda counts too, skips one, but she counts two, free, five, nine ;). I hear there's a six in there now too. Now that she says eat "nom" is mainly her paci. This girl just comprehends an amazing amount of information, and I see it in her face, in her actions, every day.
And when you ask her to say something, she says it in this sweet, really high pitched voice, hehe.
I tell her to do something or get something and she DOES. She's interesting in me cooking, sweeping, doing dishes. She sweeps! She's instantly mimicking, like my mom wiped her runny nose then wiped it on her hands yesterday, then Devin immediately did the same thing. Her balance is good, and she climbs on EVERYTHING, and rarely falls. She rides her little horse by standing on the saddle now, and she'll stand on her bus to look out the window. She's VERY into exploring how things work. Touch and move and push or pull and make it work. She was VERY into my new car's dashboard, and she was trying to work out how the vacuum works. She's curious and into everything, dextrous and calculating, really thinking things out and figuring out "problems", how to do whatever it is she's trying to get to! It's getting crazy! It's a good thing she's listening to me more, heh. She's getting much better at actual puzzles too, getting the little pieces back the right way in the right holes. She plays creatively too, playing pretend with her dollies and her figures, like when she had Deadpool kill Zoe (from Sesame Street), then the Tazmanian Devil, and then he was tickling me... My daughter is unique, heh. She feeds her baby dolls, and tickles them ("lickle-lickle!"), and today "changed" one's diaper!
It's amazing to see her playing with a purpose, playing with intent, instead of just *playing*. Again, seeing her little mid work!
She still loves her balls, loves her dollies, loves her books, loves water, LOVES her music. She's singing along even more now, and she's keeping tune better and mumbling sounds very similar to the proper words in songs. Girl LOVES her Itsy Bitsy Spider ;). And the dancing? YEAH. The dancing :D. She chooses clothes to wear. She's coloring better, though we had one wall incident, heh. She's pulling out and playing with older toys that she wasn't playing with for a while. She wants my attention and for me to play with her, she pulls my leg or my hand to get me where she wants me to be. She gets excited when certain shows or characters come on, mostly PBS still. A new fave is Dinosaur Train, and she still loves Curious George, WordWorld, Sesame Street, Super Why!, Sid the Science Kid... she sings along with the "heys" in the Arthur theme :D. "OH! SEE!!" *laughs* It's such adorable excitement.
She eats like crazy. She picks and chooses now, but really she's a GREAT eater and drinker. She LOVES to share her food too. She fights the high chair a little and the changing table a lot. She just HATES having her diaper changed :P. She's a firm size 18mo. She's size 6W shoe and still wearing 4 Pampers Dry Baby. She has 17 teeth that I know of, but her fingers have been going VERY far back in her mouth o_O. She likes brushing her teeth! She's still nursing about twice a day, I think not having her half the week is going to make final weaning VERY hard... She still sleeps about 8pm-8am and usually takes 1 2-3 hour nap :).
I have a bunch of pics and videos I need to upload, but here are some good ones:
