Devin and My Weekend
Devin's doing even more awesome new things :).
She now crows like a rooster (caw coo doo) and she's found her neck, which she calls "gawk" with certainty :). She's been turning lights off for a little while, but now she's turning them on too! She's started wiping herself during diaper changes :). She's a great helper like that; she carries groceries in too! She's started doing this thing where on the changing table she grabs my face and pulls me down to her face/neck so I can nibble her or whatever and she giggles madly :). And lastly, if I go and sleep on the sofa, she lets me sleep in till 7am. We did it 3 days in a row, and it was nice, heh.
It's been a pretty calm weekend, which I REALLY needed. For the first Sat in, like, ever we had no plans with anyone. Devin and I just chilled all day. We did take a walk to Babies R Us where I got her a bunch of summer dresses cheap, a couple cute summer tops and a See n Say for Easter. She saw a duck toy she fell in love with, so I got her that one too. Yeah... pushover ;).
After work Sunday we hung with Dad and Eva for a little, nothing big, just casual. Devin did NOT want them to leave, it was really cute.
Monday I failed my driving test :(. Trying to "park uphill" I ran up on the curb. Fail. So Zahra, Devin and I went for lunch at Richard Walker's. I love breakfast food! Devin and I just played all day. Mom and Albie came over later so I could do a quick food shopping sans baby. Good times.
And now I'm eating breakfast while Devin naps. We'll see what we do later :).
I've been trying to cook more too. I was more successful last week. I made this PHENOMINAL chicken, spinach & gnocchi soup from FNK Making it Easy, I mean, seriously, it was SO GOOD. I made the pub burgers from How to Boil Water on my Foreman. I also made that dijon-dill salmon on my Foreman again :). And I've been making wrap sammies in tortillas, with cream cheese, spinach, onion and a meat (it's varied). SO good!! So for once I've been eating better than I was before.
FYI, these shirts crack me UP! I see some icon potential there...
Hmmm... gotta get ready for the day, shower, clean and finish Neta's cowrie hair fall. More later.
