Random update; Devin, Dreams, Smellies, Movies, Life...
I forgot to mention that Devin said something new at Neta's Sunday. I don't think it was her first word, but she said "mamamamama" repeatedly there while climbing on me. She laughs and babbles a bit but she's not a big talker now that she's SO focused on moving. I mean, she's furniture-inching!! It's her 3rd consonant (following ga and ka), so it's pretty exciting. Though she's still not saying it often. I'm saying da and ba more to her now to ecourage her. But all she wants to do is walk!
Bedtime is becoming a chore...
I've got a BUNCH of incoming scents, and I'm getting impatient, heh. I love smellies!! I'm trying the Possets that Meghan gave me. So far The Girls Love a Good Posset! was gross, Madeira was ok (I need to try it again), The Gingerbread Crackhouse was good and Haute Love is LOVE.
I've been dreaming again. Had a night of high school dreams. I was hanging out with Grant and he was dating this girl that was WAY bad for him and I was trying to be a good friend and help him. Then I was hanging out with Rich S, but he was older in the dream, more mature, and being very sweet. I think we went to the movies with a bunch of HS people. I've forgotten one... I think it might have been a game-people dream. Last night I dreamed I was hanging out with the Madman. He had a clone that needed to recharge in the sun so we put him in a little greenhouse then went to see a movie with Mary and Robyn and I think some other old skool gamers. It was a weird, yet very familiar dream. So... yeah, been VERY active in the dreamscape.
I started Hani's gloves tonight, BUT her color changed to blue and I had red yarn from her original request... so we'll see if they'll be hers or mine ;). Been reading more too, I'm FINALLY over half done with Personal Demon :). I'm loving it so far.
Applying all over the place. GRAH's not hiring right now. I applied at Petco, Babies R Us and Caribou Coffee online, and Michael's and B&N on paper so far. I'm looking up local animal clinics and calling around... we'll see how that goes. Only one's actually said their hiring now :P.
Thanks to one of the Blockbuster member thingies I got to rent 6 movies for $8 and change today :). That makes me happy at least. I got Avatar book 1 vol 1, National Treasure 2, El Mariachi/Desperado, Sahara, DaVinci Code, and Cloverfield.
Thanks to Ben I've learned about the Censored Eleven... personally I think it's all kinda silly, but then maybe I'm giving kids too much credit :P. Makes me think of Dumbo, heh. It IS a part of our history, AND a quote in the Wiki article says, ". . . some even look at Clampett's Jazz cartoons and cry racism when Clampett was incredibly ahead of his time and was a friend to many of the greats of the LA jazz scene. All of the faces you see in Tin Pan Alley Cats and Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs are caricatures of real musicians he hung out with at the Central Avenue jazz and blues clubs of the '40s. He insisted that some of these musicians be in on the recording of the soundtracks for these two cartoons." There was appearently a blow up in his LJ, but I missed the whole thing. You can still watch Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs there. More banned cartoons here.
