飾らない 本当の自分見せたい
On Wednesday, I was out most of the day. I had thought about posting about my adventures that day earlier, but I was really tired after getting home and then had a headache most of yesterday and today. T_T I really want the humidity to clear up and for it to not be this hot yet.
On Wednesday, I went out with my brother and our first stop was Mitsuwa. I bought the May Wink Up (the one with Watatai being all raburabu on a bed ♥) and the May and June Popolos. When my brother saw the cover of Wink Up, apparently he had had a feeling that I would buy that one, but I doubt he knows why I absolutely wanted to buy it. ^^ I also sought out this lemon candy I had had in Japan that I really liked. Somehow I recognized the package when I saw it. And I got some senbei! I spent a long time looking through to find out which type I wanted though. We ate an early dinner there. I had katsudon and my brother had gyuudon.
Then we crawled through rush-hour traffic to go to Chicago. >_< I had gotten an email since I'm subscribed to USA network's emails about the preview for the first episode of Graceland, and thinking it was a contest to win tickets, I entered it without thinking much, but it was actually just giving them away for free and gave me two. ^^ It was really fun. We got promotional lanyards and they gave us free popcorn and drinks. I really enjoyed the episode! I won't go into plot details, but I really liked the humor and the dynamics between the characters with all their teasing and in-jokes. It could be tense and silly, and I like that in a show. I plan to keep watching it after seeing that, so I'm looking forward to it. There was also a cast Q&A broadcast from NY after the preview, and although we had to leave before seeing the whole thing, the cast was really funny and seemed to have a lot of fun on set.
It was really fun, and although it was rough going all the way to Chicago and paying a lot for parking, I'm really glad I went. (Plus I got an excuse to go to Mitsuwa, it being close to Chicago and all. ^^)
