I went to see a play put on my by college tonight, and by chance I ended up with a free ticket! It seems some couple was going to go together, but the wife was unable to come for some reason? So it was lucky, but also just slightly awkward to sit next to the person who gave up the ticket...
The play itself was really nice. It was called Lady from the Sea. While people were coming in and sitting down, they had someone standing on stage playing the violin, and it was really pretty. They used lots of other pretty music throughout. There were three singers who'd appear at different times during the play, and I heard that one of them picked out sea shanties herself to use. I actually know two of the singers and plenty of other people involved in the theater program at our college. It's good because it encourages me a lot to go and see the performances. ^_^ The story and characters were interesting too.
