(I am honestly not sure why I'm trying so hard to like this game, but I am, so we'll just go with that.)
The best thing about PC games is you can mod them. These are the ones I've installed so far:

Time on loading screen (purely what it says on the tin: it puts a current real-life clock on all loading screens, so you know exactly how long you have until you should stop playing.)

FXAA Post Process Injector (makes the colours less washed out! LOVE. I was getting really depressed at the undersaturated "realistic" look Skyrim has.)

Lockpick Pro (makes lockpicking less of a pain by putting a visual indicator of how close you are to getting it right. Yes, this is cheating. Isn't it great though?)
