We've talked about limiting gift spending and amount of presents for X-Mas. Here's what my dad wrote back:
"Guys, Xmas date and gift limitations look good. I suggest the following formula: If Xmas is on a weekday then we multiply the small gift allotment by 2 and divide by the number of people present- That way it won't "devolve" into something we don't want. Or, we could all "acquiese" and stay with the current plan but count the cost of mileage in the gift and maybe we wouldn't have to buy anything. I tried to find a two syllable word in Brian's email to poke fun at but... Then again, if xmas is on a weekend we could multiply by 3 as Saturdays cost more, unless we get. a weekend rate. I think we should nominate Mom to keep it all on track. So whenever you all agree just let us know the plan as long as you all buy me something big. Your loving father."
