Waking up that morning

May 20, 2005 23:59

Sunlight is quickly becoming the bane of my existance. I roll over and pull the covers over my head, groaning. Must find a better way to block out the light or move to a room without windows. Everything hurt. I only remember a few times in my life in which everything hurt upon waking. Usually, it's not a very good sign at all.

"Klaus?"

My voice is muffled by the covers. It's not Klaus who I sense, but Sophie. I'm relieved - my powers are not that diminished that I cannot yet recognize a fledgling.

"Sophie. Close the curtains, please."
