Wandering the halls.

I finished up a while after Andrew took off to join the meeting. I had kept working, figuring that whatever they were talking over more than likely didn't require my presence. And someone could fill me in later if any part of the discussion did happen to involve me.
I stopped by my room long enough to grab a quick shower and change of clothes, before heading back out to wander the halls. I didn't know where Anya was and the room was suddenly feeling empty without her.
I was starting to get worried. I figured I would have seen her by now, if only by chance. Was she avoiding me? Had my little expedition into the city really upset her that much. 'Cause, not to be judgmental, but she did way worse in her thousand-plus years as a vengeance demon.
I continued to think and worry about Ahn as I walked up one hallway and down another, in what might have been mistaken for nervous pacing but definitely wasn't. It was just a little exercise.
