i've been out of the loop for quite some time. sorry guys for not updating.
i've decided that i'm gonna start making some stuff NOT friends only as well, now that school's almost out of the way.
anyway... i ended up getting a new guitar amp on tuesday. it's 120 watts and completely powered by vacuum tubes. tubes = better quality and more volume. i'm letting mike use the old head for now.
wednesday was the high school's "spring she-bang." got out of school around 10, went to pick up some cables and load gear. dom is pretty much out of the band; chris from gray halo's been playing with us. the show we played was fairly shitty as we had close to no audience and a shit PA, and mike's guitar broke twice. jerrad & i decided that we'd break up the band if mike didn't get a new guitar by the july 1st show. since we finished with half an hour to go, the guys from slaughter by a mexican (minus grant) and gray halo each played a song.
after that, i went over to nigel's house, with amp, processor and two guitars. nigel is the drummer from gray halo, and they want me to join the band. since atomic skye might break up soon and i'm getting sick of mike & jerrad anyway, i accepted.
i went home around 7 and slept for 14 hours.
i cut school because a) the gym project hasn't been started yet and b) hauling a metric ton (literally) worth of band gear hit me hard.
work was hell because none of the goddamn waitresses did what they were supposed to -- they should have put racks for glassess up on the shelf when it was empty but they didn't, even when i was busy. i threatened to quit if they didn't, but eventually they did.
tomorrow i'm filling in for mike & jerrad until 6.30. i'm leaving at 6.30 ON THE DOT whether or not they show up and speeding over to fairport canal days.
...goddamnit. i remember this point in time exactly one year ago like it was yesterday as it was probably the best time of my life, ever.
i'm pretty much failing chemistry at school but i don't care. all i want right now is school to let out so that i can finally have some free time.
on a much more positive note, who wants to go with me to see the greatest fucking band ever to grace this pisspoor planet (said band would be opeth) on the 27th at the penny arcade?
