I love the interwebs, it keeps me sane. I would be lost without it.
Today has not been tremendously exciting. I woke up & played on the interwebs and was greatly amused by some things I found except at the moment laughing leads to coughing and that is Very Annoying Indeed. Bah.
I had some lunch about an hour ago & decided that I was going to have a shower and get dressed. So I went into the bathroom & sorted through my bath-stuff as some things had just died & my toothbrush wanted changing and so on and then I stuck the shower on. It was cold. It did not warm up. So I turned it off & went back to my room and discovered the boiler had capriciously switched itself off again. It does that. We have a very temperamental boiler. I have no idea why it is such a stroppy diva (I've tried getting it to talk about its problems but it maintains an aloof silence) but it is jolly annoying. Especially as I am not quite tall enough to reach the switch to make it restart, so I have to stand on tiptoe and flail at it. Bah.
So I am now waiting for the water to heat up so I can have my shower & I have stuck a wash on for good measure. I only ever wash things at 30 degrees these days & everything still gets perfectly clean. Possibly I am just not a very dirty person... But anyway yes, I was feeling at a loose end so I thought I would come and make you all glad that your existences are more interesting than mine is, if nothing else. Oooh, and I just won a top on E-Bay. I wasn't expecting to get it at all so I was rather surprised when the emails were not an outbid notice & a you-did-not-win-this-item one. Have paid for it & now have the joy of postal-expectation. It is a Fat Face top from last winter that was bought but not worn & then was too small when brought out again this year. So it is new-but-not-quite, if that makes sense. Anyhow it is purple and pretty and now it is MINE. Mwahahaha.
This afternoon I need to tidy my room; put away my dry washing from, um, the other week(?); and if my hands are playing nicely do a bit of letter-writing. *looks at hands sternly*
*Which is rather a shame because Edmund the Epipen just doesn't sound as cool, let's face it...
