We had about 20ish Brownies at the disco this evening. One turned up without a form and without a parent, but was eventually allowed to stay. Clearly her mother was wanting her there & another Brownie parent offered not only to take responsibility in an emergency but even to stay for the whole thing if necessary. I woke up around seven this morning when the phone rang. About ten minutes later there was a knock on the door so I wriggled out of my sleeping bag & went to answer the door to find my aunt there. Mr F has appeared. Apparently he has a lot of work at the moment, which he's understandably quite happy about. He is busy papering today & I've picked the paint colour for the walls - we found one that exactly matches my bedframe (and the paint has a nice name which I personally think is important) & the ceiling is to be white. Daddy has been and gone. He measured the wardrobe & made dad-noises about shelving & general decoratey things. He's said he'll put up bookshelves in my room for me when the decorating is done.
