In which the Littlest of Owls does many great deeds

It was all go here last night... First off, my brother and my aunt appeared. Bean was very impressed with my new bed & the blue paint. Oui. Then, as they were going out again, daddy appeared, to collect Chloë's NRA folder. So I went and rescued that and then made daddy go and admire my bed & my painting and then Katie appeared and she was also forced to admire the bed & the painting. Because I have absolutely no shame. And then daddy bopped away home and Daniel reappeared and then things settled down, for a while, at least.

Katie rehung my net curtain & then was incredibly splendid and put up my new curtains, having made them be the right size and generally been some kind of curtain genius. It was most splendid and I have so much curtain joy. They are beautiful beautiful curtains and I think I may be a little bit in love. Well, possibly not quite, because I am not yet mad enough to fall for a fabric, but it is a close thing.

Once the curtains were up clearly it was teatime. So there was animal pasta with kidney beans and orange peppers in the yummy free from everything tomato sauce. And there was also garlic bread. And smoothie for the Katie and Diet Coke for me, because, as we all know, it makes my little world go round. Just as we were finishing our tea there was a knock on the door, which signalled the next burst of Picadilly Circus impressions. The people from Lee Oasis were very speedy indeed at moving the bed, and I helped by carrying down my much-loved paper bears headboard, because me helping move a bed would clearly lead to disaster.

There was some hilariosity over the bed moving, as the lady in charge, despite being very tiny and about 102 was very clear about what she expected from her minions. It was quite amusing. Although there was slight awkwardness as Katie and I were not quite certain about quite whether or not we could safely leave them to playing musical furniture in their van. So there was an awful lot of lurking just in the doorway while two incredibly silent blokes were being lectured on how to arrange the furniture. Which seemed to involve moving a variety of very heavy things round and round inside the van, to judge from the noise. Eventually bloke-in-shorts (as distinct from bloke-in-trousers) reappeared and we said farewell and then Katie and I retreated to have a small giggling collapse. As is only reasonable in that sort of situation.

Katie then did a very splendid job of moving the wardrobes away from the wall so there is enough space for me to go forth and paint the skirting board behind them. She managed this without injury to anyone, which was jolly impressive. And then there was the joy of packed-lunch making. A splendid game. Jelly and everything. Oh yes. And then it was rather bedtime. And I had illogical woe about falling out of bed owing to the new bed being rather high up. Because clearly that's going to make gravity stealthier. Or something. *rolls eyes at self*

And now the Katie is gone away to work and I am considering going back to sleep. Possibly, maybe. Or something. For tonight I am off to see Mock The Week being filmed. Much excitement. And not a little huzzah...
