Where did Sunday go?

Under a cut just in case people don't want to hear about it. But anyway, yes, it was nice seeing people at church & particularly being shown the photos from my friend Tom's wedding. It is still all rather strange Tom is married. He's only a couple of weeks older than I am... meh... But the photos were lovely. Although the cutting-wedding-cake-with-a-sword bit was faintly alarming... Church was also good in the spiritual sense. Father Andrew is going back to South Africa & he gave the homily, which was actually really thought provoking. He pointed out that every time we attend mass we ask, before the gospel is read, for an understanding of God's word, that we might proclaim God's word, and that we might keep God's word in our hearts - and be governed by it. All that from three small signs of the cross. The music was also inspiring - the gospel acclamation we used is an African one (though in English) and I have decided I like it quite a lot. I suspect it may appear when we have our international mass on Mission Sunday - we have at least 36 nationalities represented in our congregation, most of which are African... But yes, it was nice, although sitting with daddy in church is always a little strange being used, as I am, to being sitting on the sanctuary, directing my minions. Er, I mean, directing the younger servers. Yes...

The rest of the day was spent with a Jennie-who-had-been-in-London-for-a-Guide-thing. This is something of a theme. Not, I hasten to add, that I am complaining. Not least as she helped me sort out my bed: washing the allergy covers & replacing them; turning the mattress; getting my winter duvet down (I was frozen last night); and remaking the bed for me. With my rather fine Paddington Bear duvet set. Because I am a grown-up like that. Oh yes. Oh, and she also vacuumed my room for me. I think I might keep her, actually, now I think on... Jen also took me to Sainsbury's to get some food. And I have Diet Coke. I notice, however, that she left before I could drink any. Strange that...

So, yes, that was my Sunday...
