Xanapost: Naughty or Nice? Who gives a crap
For the most part, this time of year is quiet for the post office. It's one of the things Violet likes (if one can say she likes anything) about the Nexus -- a lack of formal tradition and wasted paper sending meaningless greetings.
Still, there are a few items to be collected, and Violet, upon order of her superiors, has been told she cannot close the post office for a holiday so many places connected to the Nexus do not celebrate.
Damn.
So, here she is, waiting like she always does, impatient to be away from anything that might resemble mirth, with these last few remaining parcels. She is seriously tempted to pop the balloons that are floating about the place, claiming an unfortunate accident in shipping.
Violet won't, but she's damned tempted.
