[Voice/Text] a perpetual possibility only in a world of speculation

"Right. Well, you could be real. Or, you could all be mildly disturbing and possibly tumor-induced figments of my admittedly well-developed imagination.

Who wants to play Twenty Questions?"

"Are the questions trying to determine whether we're imaginary or not?"

The young woman sounds curious, and maybe a bit amused.

"Ah, you're getting ahead of the game, I'm supposed to ask the questions, you're supposed to answer them."

Tony doesn't seem put out by that, more just amused as well.

"Man, you're straight down to business."

Her accent, while subtle, is a bit odd; nexus child will do that. It's mostly 21st century American (maybe some hints of the midwest), but there are also traces of something that is like 18th century Russian that most people would miss.

"Sure, I'll play."

"I'm not good with small talk." This is the understatement of the year. "What's your favorite color?"

A short pause while she considers the honest answer.

"Green," she says, with a fair amount of conviction.

Tony notes this short pause and fires back with his next question quickly.

"Why not red?"

This doesn't take as much consideration, though she speaks seriously enough, honestly answering the question.

"I like red well enough. But green is a bit... more open, if that makes sense. The color of things growing. Things alive." A girl who appreciates nature, it sounds like, and large spaces.

Tony thinks he's getting more openness, with this response.

"Have you ever seen anyone die?"

Oh that's a nice direction to move the conversation, Tony.

"Yes." The response is instant, cautiously neutral. It probably wasn't someone she was emotionally close to, but it sounds like the situation was a little more complicated than sitting in a hotel room while her grandmother slipped away.

That's definitely interesting, and if this was an actual session he'd be off like a dog on a scent. Might still, if he loses track of the fact that this is supposed to be his way of establishing his own sanity. Or lack thereof.

"Do you like animals?"

The change of topic seems to relax her, a little, and he can probably hear a smile in her voice. Almost as if at a private joke.

"Yeah. I'm something of an animal person."

Tony has serious problems with the filter between his brain and his mouth, but he has his moments of insight.

"Did you have a pet as a child?"

She thinks about it, then says, "No. Nothing domesticated. My godfather did, though, and he sort of shared with me."
