Ah good, I was afraid I'd be left talking to myself here. Although that is the entire point of this exercise, isn't it? Establishing whether or not I'm talking to myself.

Anyway...questions. Do you have a name?

And you also have either a very literal mind or you like taking strangers for a ride.

Second question, then: what is your name?

Is it really just an either/or?

I'm called Sebastian LeMat.

Do you think it needs to be?

Is that your real name? You can...count that as two questions.

No. I don't think it does.

I don't feel that I have a particularly literal or linear mind, and I've no desire to 'take strangers for a ride.'

I've taken a few practical college courses in small appliance repair and a few other less tangible, but possibly practical classes -- Great Works of Western Lit, etc.

It depends on my mood.

Have you read Nevil Shute?

I wouldn't call his style one of my particular favorites, but I found Round the Bend a rather fascinating exercise.

What interests you about Nevil Shute?

I came across one of his books, On the Beach, by accident and it's not so much his style that makes it my favourite, but the time in my life that I read it.

Is that something you do often, relate your life experiences with literature?

Yes. Don't you?

No, I really can't say that I do. Not with books, at any rate.

What do you think of airplanes?
