Tired of Hearing It

I'm going to hell for this one, but trolls, I'm so damn sick of hearing about breast cancer. Since when did cancer decide to make its home exclusively in the tits? I mean, what about stomach cancer, testicular cancer, colon cancer, brain cancer? Why do these tumors not get the type of research and fund-raising and attention that the titty-tumors get? You never see a 3-day walk for astrocytoma, do you? Why don't people wear little ribbons on their shirts to raise awareness for glioblastoma? Now I realize that breast cancer metastasizes and grows very fast and can be deadly, but what about those other cancers? They all behave in the same way at the end of the day. Well, does this obsession with boobie-malignancy have anything to do with the culture? You know, the importance that society places on breasts? Is it a vanity issue gone horribly awry? Okay, I wish for survival and lifetime for every cancer victim out there (Unless maybe if Hitler had had it), but I think it is unfair and unjust for all the importance and attention to be focused on only one type of cancer. One that is also, not to mention, extremely rare in the male contingent of the population. Well, I have just labelled myself one horrible misogynist, but I'm trying to get a fucking point across here! Not only do men seldom get breast cancer, you never ever hear about resources for those poor fuckers with testicular cancer. Now I do understand that a woman losing a breast is analagous to a man losing a testicle. The medical community doesn't seem to make this connection. If the hype afforded to breast cancer is simply an issue related to female sexuality, then it's really messed up that no men are on TV or are walking sixty miles to save their balls!!! What the hell? When did male sexuality take a back seat in the cancer department? Are all those women concerned more for their tits than for the lives of all sorts of other cancer victims? Most cancers do not discriminate by gender. Look at that fact first. One of these days I'm gonna organize a fundraiser for glioblastoma multiforme, one of the most lethal forms of brain cancer. A person can live without a breast. You cannot live without a brain. Research that, trolls!
