(no subject)
i can't believe we've been gone for over a week now.. we actually feel like we've been doing this forever now! we haven't even left thailand yet and it seems like we should be on the way home. still so much more to see and do though, really looking forward to it.
the full moon party was insane. we spent a full 8 hours there, after a very bumpy ride in a people mover, it ended up being set in the jungle, not on the beach. neon everywhere and full on techno music. we didn't even realise it was 6am when we got in the people mover to get dropped back at the resort. the sun was beginning to come up as we got to bed. we drank lots of thai whiskey with red bull, met heaps of people from australia, one of which knew bree was from adelaide just based on her accent. you had to pay 10 baht (40 cents) to use the toilet which i started avoiding, i just kept on walking even after they we're all like 'sir! sir!' i felt like one of the annoying f-bombers at trans live.
so yesterday we spent truly hungover. i woke up at 10am to get free breakfast and give bearsie a call and then we all slept on until about 3pm. bree then went over and damanded rent of a free DVD player seeing as we hadn't had hot water for the first three days (which i didn't particulary care about, because its so hot anyway, but i was happy to accept the free DVD player) so we watched a few flicks (milk and the knew angelina one, challenging of something..) and got heaps and heaps of food and crashed before one last stroll along the beach.
today we're off to cambodia (siem reap) but we won't actually get there until tomorrow as we have another terrible 17 hour journey ahead. at least this time we have a sleeper carrage on the train, bit excited about that actually, never had one before (or have i? i can't remember being in one..)
putting facebook photos up now! miss everyone heaps and can't wait to actually talk instead of having virtual friendships.
