The words hit her like a ton of bricks.
“Angel’s gone, Faith.”
It was all she could do to keep her fist from flying through the glass.
The next words brought a split-second of comfort.
“Angelus is back.”
Great, who else did Angel screw? Not her, it’d never be her. Well, as long as it wasn’t B.
Her jaw clenched in resolve as she contemplated the situation. He was always saving her, whether he loved her or not. Now it was her turn.
“Step away from the glass.”
Why did the road to redemption always seem to lead to him?
