Attention Deficit Disorder

Happy Birthday you silly girl ^^ hahah for those of you who know KK, you would have heard about THE concert by now. Where's my eye rolling emoticon when I need it the most? haha but it did sound like a lot of fun, despite the obsessive fangirl.. quite proud you didn't scream when he entered the private room. The whole picking up the cigaratte thing.. hahaha that's so.. stalker-ish. Reminds me of that movie.. Priscilla Queen of the Desert? Something about the Abba bog in a jar.

I discovered something bout a few months ago.. just haven't remembered/bothered to post about it. It feels like I have a slight case of Attention Deficit Disorder. I've lost my concentration, and I KNOW it's rude but I can't help but let my eyes wander or fiddle with phones, read etc while talking. It's so damn hard to focus. I'm also a lot more forgetful as well. So if anyone is weirded out by me staring right past them when we talk.. haha sorry.. it can't be helped.
See with the net or telephone, I can talk to someone and do other things too. Right now I'm chatting whilst doing my LJ, listening to music and playing Yu-Gi-Oh on the GBA emulator (a damn addictive card game btw). On the phone, I can write, draw, read and even have headphones in one ear while I talk, the other person wouldn't even know. Why is it then that society expects us to use eye contact to convey interest? It's quite weird the different body languages.. such as the Japanese, who make a lot less eye contact especialy with their social heirarchy and the like.
Quick note on Japanese.. just give me a general idea as to what y'all think bout my idea to take up Korean after Japanese. I'm not gonna take it on top of my Uni.. it'll be soemtime AFTER my 6 years -_-.

Anyways, so another thing I noticed.. kinda interesting.. bout a week back. Everyone around me was (some still are) sick. My family were sick for a while, and here I was all healthy. I noticed that we take a lotta things for granted and don't generally take advantage of the things we have or appreciate them. With health, as we sit here talking normally, breathing normally, we don't appreciate how easy we have it. When we are sick though, we'd KILL to be able to speak and breathe with ease.
It goes beyond health too. As hippy as this sounds, but we do take our material goods for granted; especially technology. I'm sure you would have heard similar crap from your parents when you were little.. as I grow up, I find that more and more of what adults tell us as kids actually make a lotta sense. Anyways, things like the internet, I take for granted. When I'm cut off from it for a long period of time, I truly miss it and the ability to talk to all my overseas friends.
As well as health and material goods, there is the companionship and guidance of family and friends. I'm sure we all take these for granted. The thing is, with all these things, it's so hard to show appreciation. There's no huge ceremony you can hold to worship these things.. well there probably are but that's just weird. So we think, oh wow this is so great *continues to use it without a second thought*. And so we continue to use and abuse.

A part of the world holds their breath as the 20th draws closer and closer. Taiwan is soon to make a monumental decision. Despite making fun about it with my Taiwanese buddies, it's true that the balance of order rests on the people of the little island. Will China really take military action to suppress the freedom of the Taiwanese? Will the UN intervene to protect their precious little idea of 'democracy'? Will the terrorist take this opportunity to cause more chaos? Interesting stuff... keep your eyes open on Saturday 20th March 2004.

I tried as hard as I could to get some SES and FinKL but I've fallen into the dark vortex of Baby VOX. I'm ADDICTED!!! >_< So I'll bring you this.. As some of you know from my MSN name, the 23rd sees the release of the (rumoured) 7th album from Baby VOX. Rumoured because there has been a release date (18th pushed back to 23rd) but nothing in terms of WHAT is released. It's very hush-hush but it seems to be something released in the US. An English debut perhaps? Sounds about right though as there are bits of the 2.2 million dollar clip floating around the net, where Kim EZ raps in English. I can't wait as I see Lee Heejin and Kan Miyoun running around in mini-skirts in freezing temperatures. Also it's rumoured (fairly solid one) that they will be doing a "duet" with Tupac (RIP) and Jennifer Lopez.
Another tidbit March 31st sees the release of the new L'arc~en~ciel album. "Smile" looks to be rather weak if the new single "Ready, Steady, Go" is anything to go by, let's hope it's as good as their previous stuff.

Stupid Fact - I'm an idiot!!!
Fucking hell!!!! This is actually a 'second' entry. I'm so stupid. If you go to "Run" and type in an URL, SOMETIMES it opens a new window, sometimes it doesn't. I guess in part this is Window's fault. This time, I typed in Yahoo to try get pictures to put up for Baby VOX and L'arc but as I pressed enter I just wanted to scream. I knew it was gone. Hence I had to rewrite my entire journal. What a fucking pain.
