LP Update!

This morning I did  >this<  !!!!!!!!!!!!! :0D (I hope the blessed thing shows up this time!!!)

I seem to have pulled every muscle in my gluteous maximus, but 1.52 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My mum said we'd take a short walk...I think she needs to update her definition of short!  We stopped off at the Navigation pub for lunch and then headed home.  It was really nice!  Tonight I'm probably going to the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.  I say probably because after all that exercise I'm nicely worn out, just as anyone who haddn't done a jot of exercise for the last 4 1/2 years would be!  I'm normal now!! :0D

I've been up to a lot since I last wrote!  Went Swimming on Sunday and swam 20 lengths!   That was absolutely freaking awesome...I cannot, cannot even begin to describe how it felt to glide through the water again and to feel my smooth stroke cutting through the clear water!  Yesterday I bought a netball and chucked it around a bit on the basketball court  behind our house and today I've been off and about walking.

It has been a bit of a tough week at times though.  I've had a couple of wobbly moments where my brain has almost started to sabotage myself (Damn anxiety and thought loops).  It is a hard adjustment to make, going from being ill for so long to suddenly having a whole world opened up for you and it's hard sometimes to believe it really has happened and that it wont get taken away again and that I can just go, do and not concern myself with possible after effects (of which there will be none, except those that would be experienced by a normal healthy person who haddn't exercised for 4 1/2 years).  I've got myself back on track though every time with the help of Judith (my practitioner) and my family/friends.  I think for me I just have to take it slowly, one small step at a time.  I need to slowly build up my fittness and my confidence that my body isn't going to fail me anymore.

I know that I am now normal and healthy, it's just astounding...really it is!  I'm still using the process, but I'm now down from about 400-500 (at the start of doing it) to about 30-50 and hopefully within the next week or so it will become automatic and I'll only have to use it for the occasional niggle I might get every so often, like after a bug or something.

I could never have hoped to even dream of  what I am doing two weeks ago...It really is amazing!  I haven't walked 1.5 miles since...I can't even remember when!  I am incredibly happy!

Can't wait to go shopping and riding soon!  I think I shall now go and soak my newly found muscles in a nice warm bath and read some Harry Potter!

lightning process, new experiences, lp, health
