Mum and Dad have gone on holiday to the south of France for two weeks, leaving me and Steph to fend for ourselves. It's always a little wierd when mum and dad go away and I get very mixed feelings about it. On the one hand I love the independence and the freedom, but on the other it gets very lonely very quickly. I'm so used to having my mum around all the time and talking to her, that it feels very empty and strange when she's not around. I'm sure I'll get used to my own company pretty soon and at least I now have unlimited PC/TV access!
Mum's abscence was very clear this morning when the post lady woke me up at 8 am and I couldn't get back to sleep for ages because the sound of our god awful doorbell kept replaying itself (realistically) in my head and I was convinced that there were people at the door. If it wakes me up tomorrow I'm going to take a large hammer and smash it into tiny, tiny pieces! There is nothing worse than being deep alseep and being woken up from a bizarre dream (in this case, something to do with clambering through caves on a beach??), it never fails to give me a rotten headache.
I'm sort of dreading tomorrow though, because Steph is going out with some friends and will probably be stopping over at someone's house and if there is one thing I hate it is being alone in the house at night...it's just scary! Last time I was alone in the house at night it was not the best experience...mostly because Steph decided to go out and then 'forgot' to ring me and let me know she was sleeping over at someone else's house. Gee that was a fun night of little sleep!
I'm sure it will be fine though...I have Jake...and the cats. I already talk to Cleo as if she's a human being (I sware she knows exactly what I'm saying to her). By the time Mum and Dad get back I'll be trying to hold complicated discussions with her on the subject of global warming or something! Yeah...crazy talking cat woman here I come, lol!!
Also I've been having great fun with this
makeover site. I've been playing around with different hairstyles and looks. It's quite addictive and has given me some ideas for when I next go to the hairdressers. It also persuaded me to buy some rollers...I'm going to attempt to curl my hair...I have never managed to do this successfully before...so it should be...er...interesting...I'll post a picture of the...er...results. Also I definately do NOT suit blonde hair!!!
