yes!! i keep on getting the feeling that USA still think they're the super power of the world. it might stil be true, but the internet is taking over, as well as china.

exactly!! i've given the "buy a volume and see what it's like" approach a try, and all i get is volume 1s of terrible manga i wish i could throw away. if you give the first few chapters or volume away for free, then you'll definitely pipe up interest and heck, you might even get people shipping manga magazines every week just for their fix! sales will definite increase once your series gets out there.

i try to support industry with hollywood movies. i either go to the cinema to watch it, or buy a VCD/DVD when it comes out and i've heard enough people say good things about it. but if you're not letting anyone know about it other than the official methods, well i won't bother even going? it's like telling me to watch the latest harry potter movie, but all you've given me is the book. with SOPA/PIPA, putting up trailers would be really hard since it'll just be pirated and spread out, then they'll close them down. and that just means you're decreasing your own circle of influence?
