i just had a very head desk worthy moment with my sister-in-law.
it's her son's birthday (of sorts) soon, and she messaged me on facebook asking me if was going or not.
i said i wasn't sure and stuff and she asked me if it was exams.
of course it wasn't, so i just said something like it's expensive etc etc
and when i told her the price, she seemed so shocked it was just head desk worthy.
how much did she think a return ticket 1/3 of the way around the world cost, during the highest peak season of the year (possibly)?! orz
my ticket was ~1200 pounds. it was the cheapest one i could find without a 14h wait at helinski or dubai
