Yossi and Jagger in Iquitos

I found a toad in my room this morning. He was sitting in a corner just watching me. Trust me when I say it's not the nicest thing to wake up to. After a few minutes of silently freaking out , I broomed him out of the room. I don't care if he was my prince charming in disguise, I just won't allow toads in my room.

So I'm allright. I arrived on ( Read more... )

So I thought I was. Untill it turns out I got toads mixed up with frogs. I would be pleased, but given the fact not a single frog is to be found in the area, the outcome is pretty much the same :) Where you at now? Still in Spain or already in Poland?

Already in Poland and sick thanks to the fucking weather. Well, that and the paintball game I went to, probably, but that's beside the point. It sucks, that's all you need to know. How's Peru? :D

Man, I kept hoping you would find something decent in Spain so you could stay there. Too bad! At least you can have paintball games now. That's an upside. I was sick for some days as well, fever and everything but luckily that went away on its own. Are you better by now?

Peru's great. It's hard answering a question like that, I always get them from friends as well. I have a blog where I write lots of stuff about Peru but it's in Dutch so my Spanish or English friends can't read it. I'm enjoying life here. I spend lots of time in the children's home since I'm living there but in the weekends I explore the "outside world". It's nice, I love joking around with the kids and there's lots for me to do here teaching-wise. Won't get bored then :) Hey, you can always join me! Room enough! And the food and living is free. That would be great if you don't have any other plans and still have a 1000 euro's left for the plane ticket...

Yeah, so did I. But well, what's done is done.

Dude, I would SO jump at that opportunity but hell, no way I have that kind of money. There's a sliiight chance I might, but not until 3-4 months from now. I'll keep you updated :D And I promise not to ask stupid questions, too!

Man, if you do come to Peru, there's one thing that will annoy the hell out of you. Internet is soooo damn slow and gets stuck every five seconds. I'm losing hours behind my pc just answering 3 emails. Too bad you don't have a swimming pool filled with money in your backyard :) How is the jobsearch going? Or do you have other plans? Are you currently living with your parents or are you sharing an appartment with Anna again?

On Friday I'm going to make fruit-faces with the kids, I'm already overexcited about it. Did I tell you there's a boy here I like? Bad news is that he's only 19 and maybe a little too immature for a real relationship, idk. He just looks really hot. Yeah. So long baby x

What do you do, exactly? Because I just realized I don't really know. Is it schoolwork? Or something else?

About the boy - I don't really have the moral ground to say anything on the subject /o\ But hey, who says it has to be a relationship?

I'm currently staying with my parents but I'm going back to Wroclaw in about two weeks. The apartment situation is a bit complicated because according to the plan I was supposed to be gone, and Anna has a new roommate at the moment. But the girl is moving out in a month, so. I think I'm just going to play the freeloader for a while. A ver.

Take care!

Whoo for Wroclaw x_missdarko_x October 15 2010, 04:10:12 UTC
Wel, it's a mix between being a teacher and a camp monitor. In the mornings I help out in a little school with individual reading practise (lots of children are eight years old and still can't read). In the afternoons I'm in charge of the kindergarten (with 5 whole students!). In between I organise the library, swimming lessons, game-and-reading time at night, and trips outside the home and such. I like it a lot, though sometimes I get the feeling people back home expect more of me. Like I'm some kind of superhero who has to Change The System and introduce all kinds of cool belgian teaching ways. So not going to happen ( ... )
