Going next door to spend Easter with family, regardless of the distaste I have for them at the moment, and the dog is chained up outside. She's going nuts as we walk up, barking like mad but obviously in a hunger for affection, and her owner says: "Don't worry about her, she won't hurt you." Chris replies with something like "the injuries on our dog say otherwise."
The response to this?
A laugh.
He fucking laughed that his dog hurt ours. No apologies. No signs of concern. A laugh.
The only people that did show concern don't even live there. This inconsiderate nature along with some other stuff that's going on really makes us wish we could afford to move.
There's already too much going on in life without having to deal with assholes, too.
