I just learned that guinea pigs, rabbits, squirrels, lemurs, elephants, and gorillas also purr... Who knew?!
In related news, a tiny kitty (just past kitten stage) literally followed me and Romeo home yesterday morning, nuzzling Romie and walking underneath him most of the way. He came out from underneath a dilapidated truck and has taken to sitting under Chris' dilapidated Neon. When he's outside, that it. It's so cold we couldn't stand the idea of leaving him out there, so we've been bringing him in and letting him get warm and comfy in the bathroom. He slept there last night and didn't make a peep or get into anything.
He's awfully cute and sweet. All white with bright blue eyes. If we could I would so keep him, but we're planning on taking him to the Animal Shelter in the morning. Had intended to this morning but Chris overslept -- I'm telling myself it's because he doesn't want to see the kitty go. He did, after all, spend time on Facebook rather than get moving.
I don't know where else to take him, but we can neither keep him nor let him freeze. So I'm convincing myself that he'll be just fine and will quickly be adopted because he's young, sweet, and has beautiful eyes.
Before Chris said I could bring him in last night, I kept tearing up at the thought of him out there in the cold by himself. Can't imagine how bad I'll get when we take him to the shelter. :(
