"It's all right, love," Giles said as Fred apologize for not knowing he was exhausted. It wouldn't have changed things - he would've still made love to her but he needed to be with her to show her he was really there. He ran his hand through her hair and softly sighed. Fred still seemed a bit down and he wanted to fix it, if he could.
He was about to suggest a walk around the grounds after they napped, and ate, just as Fred asked if there were horses on the property. Giles smiled and nodded his head. "There's three. They haven't been ridden in a while but I'm rather sure they'll like the attention," he said before kissing Fred's forehead. "I'll call down to the stables in a bit and tell the handler to prepare them for us."
Stretching out a bit, Giles pulled Fred closer to him and closed his eyes. "We should get some rest first. Then I'll check to see if there's anything to eat in the house before calling down to the stables." He wanted to make sure Fred was all right but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't keep his eyes open.
"I love you, Fred," he whispered before drifting off to sleep.
Fred smiled when Rupert said he would call down once they woke up later to have the horses made ready for them to go riding. It was almost something out of one of the books that her mother used to read late at night, that she had stolen once or twice out of curiosity. The man with the secret estate and a stable and servants. She looked forward to going out riding with him, though, and just spending time with him again.
"Rest sounds very nice," she told him, snuggling closer and closing her eyes.
She listened to his heart as his chest rose and fell underneath her cheek until she knew he had finally fallen asleep. She didn't want to fall asleep at first even though she was exhausted because she was afraid that if she did, she'd wake up to find this was all a dream.
Finally, however, she did fall asleep.
She wasn't sure how long she slept. Just that it was dreamless and deep, and when she woke up, for a moment she was confused as to where she was and whether was she remembed had been real. When she felt Rupert's chest beneath her cheek, though, she felt herself smiling.
Raising her head up, she looked at him, studying the contours of his face as he continued. He really was there. He had disappeared while she had been asleep. She had no reason to grieve anymore because she had been given an amazing gift - she had been given Rupert back.
The fear and worry she had been holding inside finally melted away as she leaned up and kissed Rupert's lips gently.
Giles had always been a fan of dreamless sleep. He'd seen too many tragedies during his lifetime, and they always seemed to haunt his dreams. Rarely was there a dream where something happy happened. But this time the dreams decided to go away and allow him to truly rest. His body needed to the time to recover from being dead, ant then not dead. He was also tired with worry, wondering if Fred was ever going to recover from this.
When he felt Fred's soft lips upon his, Giles pushed himself out of his sleep and opened his eyes. He was greeted by Fred's smiling face, and he smiled back. Gone from her eyes was the worry he'd seen earlier. They seemed light and that did his heart a world of good.
"Hello, love," he whispered, his hand going up to caress her cheek. "Do you rest well?"
Giles turned his head and looked at the clock. They had been asleep for a few hours, and didn't have a lot of daytime left. He wanted to take her riding but knew by the time Arthur had the horses ready, it'd be almost dusk and he didn't like riding the property at night.
"It's rather late. Would you mind postponing the ride until tomorrow morning? I can call down to the house and tell Arthur to have them ready in the morning. Besides, I need to call him anyway since I do believe my cupboards are terribly bare," he said.
"Quite well, actually," she said softly, giving Rupert a smile and leaning into his touch. "I...I was almost afraid to fall asleep because I thought that I'd wake up and find you go, but I did, and you're still here."
She hadn't noticed how late it had gotten until Rupert pointed it out and she looked over at the clock to see the time. Of course, she hadn't really noticed the passage of time much over the last week. There was light and dark, and that had been it.
"I don't mind if we wait," she told him, running her hand over his chest before sitting up slightly so he could get up and get the phone. "Cordy did say we had a few days, so we have time. We don't have to do everything today."
She looked around and noticed their discarded clothing on the floor, suddenly realizing something. "Do you think we might be able to get some clothing too? I think Cordy's decided to really leave us alone this time. There's no suitcase or anything like she normally leaves for us."
Giles called down to Arthur's house. The elderly man seemed quite surprised to hear his voice, which made Giles smiled. He asked Arthur to go to the grocery store and pick up some food for them. He also asked him to pick up a set of clothes too. He figured Fred and him could go shop more thoroughly for clothes the next day after they were finished with their ride.
Arthur said it would be an hour or so before Giles hung up the phone. "Food and clothing will be here soon," Giles said before pulling Fred into his arms. "Arthur has good taste and I'm sure he'll get us something nice to wear." Kissing her forehead, Giles slid out of the bed and went to the bathroom. Inside, was a rather large tub, big enough for two people, and he bent over and turned on the taps so the tub would get filled.
He went back out to the bedroom and scooped Fred off the bed. "You still look a bit tense, love. What you need is a nice, long bath," he said as he carried her into the bed.
Giles sat her down on the counter and put a couple of drops of bath oil in the water. Soon the room smelled of lilacs and he smiled. "Let me get in first," he said before stepping into the warm water. He turned off the taps and got comfortable.
"Come here," he said as he held his hand out for her.
When Rupert disappeared into the bathroom, Fred leaned back against the bed, closing her eyes. As she did, she let her senses wander, which caused her to frown. The horses that she had sensed before didn't seem to be there anymore. In fact, the things that she had sensed before, outside the house, she couldn't. But she could sense Rupert in the next room, and something...what must be a cat...moving through the first floor of the house.
Before she could figure out what was going on, though, Rupert came back into the room and picked her up, saying that she needed a bath to relax. She smiled at him as he sat her on the counter and watched as he got the bath ready. It looked so inviting, especially when he got into the water.
Jumping off the counter, she crossed over to the tub and carefully stepped in, sinking down to settle herself between Rupert's legs. The warm water immediately began soothing muscles she hadn't even realized were tense, and the lilac smell was wonderful. She moved herself so she could rest against him, her head pillowed against his chest.
"This is very nice," she murmured happily, closing her eyes and letting her mind wander again. As she did, she realized that she could sense the horses again, as well as a few other animals outside in the area around the house. She furrowed her brow in confusion. "That's weird...when I was in the other room while you were in here, I couldn't sense the horses like I could before, but now that I'm in here with you, I can again."
She raised her head and looked at Rupert. "It's almost like you're...boosting my senses or something."
Giles wrapped his arms around Fred as she leaned against him. The bath was rather nice and he could feel himself start to relax. Fred suddenly started to talk about sensing the horses again, when she hadn't been able to in the other room. Maybe she was onto something, and maybe there was a connection between them.
"Perhaps some angels are connected because they work together," he suggested, shaking his head a bit. He still couldn't believe he was an angel. "I don't care, as long as I'm with you, love."
Sliding his hand down and over his stomach, he gently nudged her legs apart. Giles ran a finger over her wet folds and up to her clit. He rubbed it soft, small circles and started to softly kiss her neck. "Just relax, love," he whispered in her ear as he continued to rub her.
"Maybe you're right," Fred responded when Rupert mentioned his thought about angels who worked together.
If that was true, then that was definitely a good thing because it meant that Cordy and the Powers intended for them to stay together. And that was all she wanted - she willingly help where she needed to help so long as she was with him, and they could do it together. She didn't want to be alone anymore.
She was about to tell him that when she felt his fingers sliding between her thighs. Opening her legs to give him better access, she leaned back against him again, her eyes fluttered closed. Sensations began running through her as his finger moved across her clit, and she groaned softly.
"Rupert," she breathed out. It felt a bit different, his fingers on her under the water, but it still felt amazing, especially with the way he was kissing her neck. She shuddered a bit and grabbed the edge of the tub, almost afraid that she'd slip under the water.
Slowly, her body began to tighten, and she felt like she was hanging on the edge, not sure if she'd hit that moment when she'd let go. Then, finally, she reached it, and with a soft cry, she came, trembling in Rupert's arm.
Giles could feel Fred tightening up so he rubbed her faster as his other hand moved up to cup her breast. When she came, shaking in his arms, he moaned as he felt himself start to stir. He removed his fingers from her as she came down from her orgasm and pulled her tighter against him. "I love you," he whispered in her ear.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang once and he could hear the front door squeak open. "That would be Arthur. He probably wants to speak to me before he goes into town. I'll be back, love," he softly said as he nuzzled her neck.
Once Fred was sitting forward, Giles slipped out of the bathtub and put an old dressing gown on. When he got there, Arthur was standing there. "Arthur, old chap!" he said, shaking his friend's hand.
"Rupert," he said, smiling back. "I have a question about the clothing sizes. You forgot to mention what size your lady friend wears."
"Small."
"Thank you," Arthur said, tipping his hat. He slipped out the door and Giles smiled before running up the stairs again.
"Sorry about that, love," he said as he shrugged his dressing gown off. "Is the water still warm?"
As Fred came down off her high, she let out a soft moan of pleasure. She couldn't remember the last time she had been this happy. Her time with Wesley had been so short-lived that her happiness with him was sometimes so hard to remember, and that made her sad, so when she thought she had lost her chance with Rupert too, it had been devestating. Now, though, she knew that she'd be with Rupert forever - one way or another. If they were ever allowed to "retire", she'd make sure that they weren't parted then either.
She was about to turn so she could face him when the doorbell rang and Rupert slipped out of the tub to see what Arthur wanted. With a sigh, she sat back and closed her eyes for a moment. She couldn't sense the horses again, so now she knew for certain. When she was with Rupert, her ability to sense things definitely got stronger.
When he returned to the bathroom, she opened her eyes again and smiled at him, holding her hand out to him. "Very," she told him, helping in to sit with her again.
Once he was settled, she snuggled against him, this time on her side, and began running her hand up and down his chest. "We definitely have a problem with keeping our hands off each other in water, don't we?" she asked before trailing her hand down under the water to his cock. Gently, she wrapped her hand around him and started stroking him.
Giles smiled as Fred helped him back into the bathtub. He knew they had some time to spare before Arthur came back with the supplies. He leaned back and wrapped his arms around Fred's body. "Water or not, I always have a hard time keeping my hands off you, love," he whispered as she ran her hand over his chest. There were times when he felt he'd known Fred his entire life.
When he felt her hand wrap around his cock, he groaned and bucked up. "Bloody hell, Fred!" Giles said as she continued to stroke him. "I love you so much." He moaned against and continued to buck up as he leaned his head against the back of the bathtub.
Soon, he felt his balls start to tighten and he knew he was close. Giles grabbed the sides of the bathtub and let out a cry as he twitched and came in the water. It felt different, something he'd never experienced before and he was sure he was going slip down into the tub and drown.
Taking a deep breath, he pushed his eyes open and smiled at Fred. "You're rather good at that, love," he murmured before softly kissing her.
