You know what sucks? Losing your sketchbook.
Especially if you're Emily Rowe.
Emily leaped about the library frantically, searching under the tables, chairs, and squishy couches. It had to be here, it just had to! She was starting to get very worried now; she had been searching for an hour now and still didn't have any luck.
Emily got down on her hands and knees, searching the floor. If someone found her sketchbook, she'd be humiliated. It wasn't that Emily was bad at drawing. She was actually quite good, but she rarely ever showed other people her sketches because they seemed like such a personal thing. It was hard to explain, but the feeling was there, and she had to find that sketchbook before anyone else did.
As she crawled, she came upon a pair of shoes. Someone was staring down at her. Emily's face burned and she got up quickly, opening her mouth to speak, but achieving no sound.
