Second Entry

I haven't had any viewers on here yet as far as I know, so I'm not sure how long I'll stick around on this site.

I'm fairly neutral about my spring break. I didn't do any of the productive things I planned on, but I kind of don't care. There were some good times, but somehow I ended up feeling more exhausted after break than I did going into it, and I think it's supposed to work the other way around. Either way, today marked my return to school.

I left the house late and parked illegally in order to make it to class. I made it to Spanish only a little late, and moved my car between that and drawing, since I had the time. Luckily, I didn't get a ticket. (I only get those when I park legally, ha!) Anyway, I had a test in Spanish, which I didn't study for, but feel pretty decent about. I also turned in my narrative essay, which I feel equally decent about. Before drawing, a girl from my class gave me a Mt. Dew because the machine gave her 3 of them, and gave her more money than she put it. I'm glad I got to share in her lucky day, I was thirsty, and it was just nice. She's been really nice to be since the first day of class for no reason. I'm definitely not complaining though. That kind of thing is pretty rare. Drawing was boring. We drew hallways for the third class period in a row. It turned into me working for 45 minutes, then spending the rest of the time, which was the majority, hanging with a couple other girls from my class. We were so lazy, and in pain after sitting on the floor. It is such an awkward position to be in for more than a minute. After drawing I had oral communication, my speech class. It was pretty fun. We spent almost the whole time doing activities with our speech groups. I am proud to say my group got a pretty hefty amount of participation points. We also got our tests back. I got a B, which I'm okay with. I didn't study, so I didn't expect much. I have an hour of waiting left, then art history, which I expect to be okayish. We have a quiz coming up soon, so tomorrow I'm going to start studying my booty off for that.

Friday is the last day of Office Depot being open. I only have two days of work left there. It is so sad. I went from not caring at all to being kind of happy to not caring to really really caring. I wish we weren't closing, I will miss it. It's been a pretty big part of my lifestyle for almost 3 years, which is a pretty big chunk of time since my life hasn't been very long yet. I'm also finding it really difficult to get a new job that isn't Staples. I've had interviews, but I turned one place down for various reasons, and I'm not jazzed about any of my other options except for one, which I haven't heard from. I'm going to hope that things just work themselves out. My money situation isn't too fabulous. Regardless, closing is very sad. It's sort of hard to even be there anymore.

I've had 2 band practices so far. I think it's going well, and I think my bass playing is improving each time I play. It's a slow process. It's just so different from violin, which I'm so used to. I'll get where I want to be with time. I feel pretty good about the songs we have that we've worked on the most. Also, the context is so different from the context I played violin in. It's actually ALMOST like I'm doing the music thing for the first time. I ordered a new strap for my bass which came today, it has Starry Night on it. I think it'll look fly.

For the past few days I've felt bad. I'm not quite sick, but it's like I'm almost there. I hope it doesn't progress any further and just goes away. I think part of it is just because of how tired I am.

I guess I don't have much to report beyond that. Well, none of the above things were really important either. I'm debating taking a summer class, and I need to decide soon. I'm torn pretty much 50/50. Votes? It's Drawing II, Monday-Friday, from 8:30-12:40 for 4 weeks. I think it's something like May 11-June 5, but don't quote me on that.

My hair is crazy today. It is so humid.

Is that a turkey sandwich?,
Ashley
