after a good five months of living in this appartment, we finally have internet. Teh gasp. Our router is really old and ghetto though and can only support one connection at a time so we're going to have to buy a new one which sucks because routers cost money that I don't have. And randomly we have free cable too, that we've had since we moved in but nobody bothered telling us about. Gotta love the landlady being on top of things.
So my old friend Tim, of obsessive high school LJ ranting fame, got married today. It seemed kind of random to me because I didn't even know he had a girlfriend until, like, this summer, but they seem really really happy together and I'm happy for them. Especially since he seemed so lonely last year, and I'm really glad he's finally found someone. She's really pretty too and the ceremony was really nice. And it was short. Having only been to catholic weddings in my entire life, it's hard to describe how short the ceremony seemed. I liked it that way. The reception was fun except that Ian wasn out of town so I had no one to dance with :( Silly Tim for planning his wedding so spontaneously that he didn't check to see if his friends were out of town first. But Tim was wearing his navy uniform and he had a SWORD ... which was so cool. Dude, when Ian and I get married, he's so wearing a sword. I don't care if he's not in the military or anything. SWORD!!!1one ... yeah.
So I started kung fu today and it was exhausting but fun. I really sucked at it but I guess everyone does when they start -- it wasn't so much physically hard as it was difficult to memorize all the different steps in the various maneuvers. It reminded me of in my original Znorlia series when they all learned fighting maneuvers that had weird names like the blurghia and such. Except this is real. And it's cool.
Tomorrow I have tons of homework to do and that makes me a sad panda bear.
